The Club management team are always on hand to advise you on outings, transport, markets and any number of local events to ensure the most possible enjoyment from your stay.

The districts of Torrenueva and La Cala are within minutes walk and provide for the majority of your shopping, banking and tourist needs.

Slightly further afield are Fuengirola, Calahonda, Marbella and Puerto Cabopino, which offer a huge variety of, shopping, leisure activities, sport and entertainment for all your needs.

A hire car is not essential since the local bus and rail links are regular and inexpensive. Or you could even walk !! Golfers will appreciate that the Club is within short distance of some of the most beautiful courses in Europe and tennis is also available on site.

All equipment is available free of charge to visitors for these facilities.

Weather

La Cala de Mijas enjoys a Mediterranean climate characterised by mild winters and hot, sunny summers. The hottest months are typically July and August, with average highs around 27°C (81°F) and very little rainfall. January is usually the coolest month with average highs of around 15°C (59°F).

Car Hire

Hiring a car is a good way to explore the area. Yellow Car car hire is the local rental company with locations at Malaga Airport, La Cala village and Marbella providing an excellent service with a large fleet of vehicle options.

Golf

The Costa del Sol is also know as the Costa del Golf and is a premier golf destination boasting over 70 courses and a year-round golfing climate. Courses close to Las Mimosas include La Cala Golf (Campo Europa, Asia & America), Calanova Golf, Santana Golf and Santa Clara to name a few. Sunshine Golf Store, 5 minute walk from Las Mimosas is a well regarded destination for golfers in La Cala de Mijas, facilitating green fee bookings for various Costa del Sol courses, golf club rentals, custom club fitting and more.

Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol, literally 'Coast of Sun'. Coming here means finding beautiful landscapes, gorgeous beaches and delicious food. With so many areas to explore, customs and traditions to discover whilst enjoying the sunny climate, you'll be forever coming back for more.

Andalusia
